Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute long-term HR strategies that support the company's growth objectives.
- Manage and handle all facets of HR, from performance management to employee relations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations in various states.
- Manage all HR systems and processes including HRIS (Rippling, other PEO systems, etc.), onboarding/offboarding, payroll, sourcing and managing HR-related vendors, employee census, employee handbook, and more.
- Lead the recruitment and onboarding of a world-class team of engineers, scientists, and business professionals, with a focus on attracting and retaining AI talent.
- Identify and implement initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee development.
- Design and administer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by managing employee relations, addressing concerns, and promoting employee engagement.
- Implement performance management systems to evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and drive employee development.
Qualifications:
- Deep HR expertise: 10+ years of experience leading HR functions in fast-paced, tech-driven environments.
- Proven track record of success in building and managing HR functions in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strategic vision: A keen understanding of how people strategies align with business goals, with a passion for leveraging data and analytics to inform decision-making.
- Talent magnet: You know how to attract and retain top talent in a competitive tech landscape.
- Culture architect: You believe in building a vibrant, inclusive culture that celebrates diversity and empowers individuals to reach their full potential.
- Change champion: You can navigate through rapid growth and organizational transformation, effectively communicating and engaging employees every step of the way.
- Tech fluency: You're not afraid to get your hands dirty with HR tech and understand how AI can be used to enhance the employee experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, and employee relations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR, SPHR) is preferred.
